PESHAWAR, Aug 19: The Fata Secretariat has announced 140 scholarships for the children of those tribal leaders and government employees who were killed in operations against militants in the region.

According to an official statement, issued here on Tuesday, the scholarships would be awarded under the Fata Development Programme (South) to provide free education to the sons of the deceased.

The students found eligible under the scheme would be provided free boarding and lodging facilities till the completion of their studies in their respective disciplines.
