ISLAMABAD, Aug 20: The central executive committee (CEC) of the Pakistan People’s Party’s will meet here on Friday to review the political environment in the post-Musharraf era and discuss the judiciary issue amid PML-N’s threats to quit the coalition if the deposed judges were not reinstated.
According to PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar, co-chairman Asif Zardari held several meetings on Wednesday to discuss the political situation.
One of the meetings was attended by PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, secretary-general Jahangir Badar, Leader of the House in Senate Raza Rabbani, federal ministers Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Sherry Rehman, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, PPP Balochistan president Lashkari Raeesani and Farhatullah Babar.
Later, Mr Zardari hosted a dinner for the PPP legislators.
