KARACHI, Aug 21: Karachi recorded a 77-run victory over their counterparts from Faisalabad in the inaugural Magna Disabled Cricket League at the AKU cricket ground on Wednesday.

Batting first, the Karachi team posted 166-3 in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajmal Abbasi (52) and Rao Jawaid (36 not out) batted well.

Faisalabad, in reply, could only score 89 before being bundled out in 19 overs.

Mohammad Khalid and Azeem Qureshi bowled brilliantly for the victors capturing three wickets each.

In another match, Multan registered a convincing 60-run win over Peshawar at the PCB Regional ground.—Agencies
