MIRPURKHAS, Aug 23: Rangers personnel have arrested a 12-year-old boy going to India in Thar Express train from the Zero Point railway station for travelling without passport and other legal documents on Saturday.
Madan Lal, son of Aidaan, a resident of Kot Ghulam Mohammad was detained by Rangers.
He managed to board the train at Mirpurkhas railway station despite strict checking at the railway station. He travelled without ticket.
Sources said rangers had informed his parents about his arrest and he would be brought back to Mirpurkhas through same train Saturday night.
PROTEST: A protest rally was taken out by Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, district core group of Mirpurkhas, in collaboration with Sindh Nojwan Samaji Sangat of Mirpurkhas on Saturday to protest against the ASI of Satellite town police station, Muzaffar Shah, and a chakki owner, Seth Kamal, for detaining and torturing a poor 12-year-old boy, Gordhan Meghwar for ‘stealing flour’ from the chakki.
They rally was taken out from the railway station chowk. The protesters were carrying banners and placards and were marching on roads demanding registration of case against the ASI and Seth Kamal.
The protesters said the government should immediately lodge the case against them and if it was not lodged they would get it done through the court of law.
They announced to provide legal aid to the child victim.
kiln workers: Country chief of International Human Rights Commission Syed Muzammil Abbas Shirazi has said the government’s arrangement to provide free medical treatment to brick kiln workers are insufficient as many are suffering from TB and hepatitis-B and -C.
He was speaking at a free medical camp held at Chaudhry Waheed village on the public school road.According to a press release issued here on Saturday, an official of the human welfare foundation, Shabana Khan, said that the foundation had arranged free medical camp for kiln workers as the workers don’t have medical facilities.
210 labours were examined at the camp supervised by Dr Saleem Shaikh and Dr Nusrat Saleem. The workers were provided free medicines.
