SUKKUR, Aug 23: Two persons were killed and two others injured in an armed clash between two groups of hardened criminals, including Moso Lolai and Jado Arbani over an old enmity, in Shahdad Arbani village situated in the kutcha area of Gemro police station jurisdiction, district Ghotki on Saturday.
A group of armed Lolai community men, led by Moso Lolai, raided Shahdad Arbani village, fired rockets and opened fire with automatic weapons, which was returned by the Arbani community men. As a result of two hours of gun battle, two persons, including Ameer Bux alias Ameero Lolai and Ayub Arbani were killed on the spot, while two real brothers Roshan Arbani and Khamiso Arbani were injured and shifted to local hospital.
A heavy contingent of police cordoned the affected areas and established check posts to avert further blood shed. No case was registered till the filing of this report. It may be mentioned here that two most-wanted and hardened criminals of district Ghotki, Moso Lolai and Jado Arbani, were at war over a theft dispute since last two years, which so far has claimed 30 lives from the either community and left many injured.
KILLED: A bandit was killed in an encounter with the police on the National Highway near Ubauro late on Friday night.
A group of armed bandits blocked the National Highway near Ubauro and were looting the passengers of a coach. A police party reached on the scene and on seeing the police, opened fire which was returned by the police and as a result of brief encounter one of the bandits Ghulam Nabi alias Naboo Indhar died while his accomplices escaped. No case was registered.
WOUNDED: Three of family were wounded by the armed persons over karo-kari dispute between two groups of Kalwar community, in Siddiq Kalwar village, near Mirpur Mathelo on Saturday morning. According to the details, a group of armed persons raided the village, broke into the house of Rustam Kalwar and opened fire, injuring Rustam Kalwar and his two sons Niaz Kalwar and Ghazi Kalwar and fled.
Later, the injured were shifted to Mirpur Mathelo hospital, but no case was registered till the filing of this report.
