SUKKUR: Woman axed to death

SUKKUR, Aug 24: A woman was axed to death by her cousin in Kamal Chachar village near Pano Akil late on Saturday night over suspicions she had illicit relations with some person.

Reports reaching here said that Mour Chachar attacked his cousin Aisha, wife of Abdul Ghafoor Chachar, with a hatchet and killed her when she was at home.

Police moved the body to Pano Aqil taluka hospital for post-mortem and lodged a case against the killer, but made no arrest till the filing of this report.

In another incident, a married woman of Ranjhapur village sought asylum at Thull police station late on Saturday night, complaining of domestic violence.
