LAHORE, Aug 27: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan says the country will be unfortunate to have a president like Asif Ali Zardari.

Opening a “Sasta tandoor”, an initiative aimed at providing low-price roti to people, on Multan Road here on Wednesday, he alleged that Zardari would be a security risk for the country.

Seeing no difference between former president Pervez Musharraf and Asif Ali Zardari, he said the latter had no right to exonerate the former from his unconstitutional acts and slaughter of people in pursuance of US agenda.

He demanded that Gen Musharraf (retired) be tried under Article 6 of the Constitution.

He said those who had got corruption cases worth billions of rupees withdrawn against themselves wouldnever restore independent judges.

He announced the Tehrik would open more Sasta tandoor facilities for welfare of the downtrodden.

PTI’s Punjab president Ahsan Rashid and central information secretary Omar Sarfaraz Cheema were also present on the occasion.

PPP: Jamaat-i-Islami Information Secretary Amirul Azeem has urged the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to take notice of Indian atrocities against innocent Kashmiris in the Valley.

In a statement on Wednesday, he demanded that Islamabad should lodge a strong protest with New Delhi and also expose the latter’s cruel face before the international community.

He announced full support\ of his party for the Kashmiris fighting for the right to franchise for the last six decades.

Mr Azeem lauded the march organized by the AJK Jamaat towards Jammu for showing solidarity with the Kashmiris across the Line of Control.

Meanwhile, a condolence reference, chaired by former

JI chief Mian Tufail Muhammad, was held for the late

Maulana Fateh Muhammad, former provincial amir of the party.
