Published September 1, 2008

KARACHI, Aug 31: Police have formally included friends of Shaikh Amir Hassan, the famous fashion designer, who was found trussed up and shot dead in his DHA flat on Saturday.

A senior police officer of Clifton, Asad Raza, told Dawn that the victim’s three friends — Jiya Ali, Ali Saleem and Faisal — had been called for “questioning” in the designer’s murder case.

“We have approached Jiya Ali in Lahore and asked her to appear before the investigators,” he added. The police officer said that the victim and his three friends had returned together after attending a party at the house of Shayan Malik.

He said that Ali Saleem was stated to have gone abroad, while Faisal and two watchmen were being interrogated.
