HYDERABAD, Sept 1: The Mirpurkhas EDO of works and services Ghulam Mustafa Abro denied reports on Monday that work on development schemes in the district had come to a stop due to non-release of funds.

He said in a statement said that work on all the schemes was going on and the DCO had released funds of the first quarter of the financial year after receiving request from district administration.

He said that Rs4.850 million had been released for laying roads and brick pavements.

Mirpurkhas DCO Abdul Rahim termed reports of non-release of funds incorrect and said the EDO works had not sought release of funds before Aug 30.
