KARACHI, Sept 6: Two container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying iron ore, palm oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, CMA COM Puget, KIA Wakeed, Orient-II, Mustafa Bay, Shinyo Integrity, Chemroad Luna and Babi Tonga, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 83,253 tons comprising 50,986 tons of import and 32,267 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Carolina, CMA CGM Ville-D-Aquarius and Chemroad Luna sailed out while CMA CGM Puget and KIA Wakeed were expected to depart.
