HYDERABAD, Sept 8: Local leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party have condemned blackmailers, land grabbers and extortionists for tainting the name of the party to further their nefarious designs.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday, Acting President PPP Hyderabad District Chapter Amanullah Siyal, Sindh Council member Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, Aftab Khanzada and others said that they received reports that some people were using the name of PPP to blackmail officers and business community and were also involved in land grabbing.

They said that they had provided a list of extortionists and land grabbers to former district police officer and expressed the hope that the incumbent DPO will use that list to take action against land grabbers and extortionists.

They appealed to the heads of different government departments, Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other trade organisations of the city to be careful of the activities of these elements and immediately inform police in case money was demanded or land grabbed under the cover of PPP.
