KARACHI, Sept 10: Four ships carrying wheat, palm oil, LPG and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Damietta, Mustafa Bay, Melpomeni, Med Salvador, St. Kitts, St Rilen, Al-Soor and Hellenic Horizon, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, rapeseeds, chemicals, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 81,072 tons comprising 61,131 tons of import and 19,941 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Shinyo Integrity, Maersk Damietta, St. Kitts and AI-Soor-II sailed out.
