KARACHI, Sept 15: Eight ships carrying containers, imported wheat and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active as nine ships, Jasper Arrow to offload cars, Nanos to offload coal, Cap. Dkritas, H.H. Tide, Deja Bhum and Y.M .Invetive to unload and load containers, Maersk Rouen, Addarraq and Johar, all tankers to load molasses and offload crude oil, were berthed during the last two days.

Sailing was also active as 11 ships departed during the last two days including Eric G. Gibson, Rhonebog, Kapitan Byankin, Cap Akritas, B.W. Captain, Nordan, Olympia, Doris, Obs Swathy, Pananma Express and Jin Cheng.

Five others, including Addarraq, Y.M. Inventive, H/H. Tie, Johar and Sea Bridge are due to sail out on Tuesday after loading various consignments of export cargo.

A total tonnage of 191,000 tons comprising 80,382 tons of export cargo and 111,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Qin Hai with 40,371 tons of wheat, Ben Aicha to load 13,000 tons of molasses, Cape Ferrol, Tower Bridge, Bunga Teratai-4, Express Phoenix, APL Shenzhen and City Of Xiamen with containers.
