Published September 19, 2008

SANGHAR, Sept 18: Khipro police on orders of the district and sessions judge have raided a brick kiln and recovered 24 bonded labourers working there.

According to reports, Kanji Oad submitted a petition in the court that his relatives had been forcibly kept by the kiln owner and were forced to work without any remuneration. He alleged that he had also been kidnapped from the court when he wanted to appear in the court. The court released all labourers and ordered that they were free to go anywhere.—BoC
