HYDERABAD, Sept 29: The nominated chairman of the District Peoples Development Committee (DPDC) has directed the officers of nation-building departments to prepare feasibility reports of new development schemes and upgrade existing public facilities in consultation with public representatives and submit the same in shortest possible time.

MPA Pir Amjad Shah Jilani said this while presiding over first the meeting of the DPDC at Shahbaz Hall here on Monday.

Pir Amjad Shah told the meeting that the Sindh Chief Minister had constituted the DPDC for Hyderabad with MPAs, MNAs, representative of growers, Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industries and lawyers to expedite on-going development works and remove bottlenecks.

He further said that the committee would also propose new development schemes and feasibility reports for upgradation of the existing public facilities.

He said that priority should be given to extension and improvement in health and education sectors, especially in backward areas where people were deprived of basic facilities since long.
