Wasa centres

LAHORE, Sept 30: All complaint centres of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) will remain open during Eid holidays.

Special squads had been formed to redress complaints regarding water supply and choked sewerages while leaves of all sanitary staff had also been cancelled, participants of a meeting presided over by Wasa managing-director Dr Javaid Iqbal were informed on Tuesday.

The participants were informed that all tubewell operators would remain on duty as usual to ensure uninterrupted water supply while tankers carrying water would remain at major Wasa offices to meet shortage in any part of the city. Sewer system would be desilted during the holidays and arrangements had been made to cover all manholes, they were informed.
