HYDERABAD, Oct 3: A large number of Awami National Party activists staged a demonstration in front of the press club here to condemn the suicide bomb blast in Charsadda and to pay tribute to those party workers who had sacrificed their lives to protect their party chief. They also offered fateha for the departed souls. They raised slogans praising Asfandyar Wali and against terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, Aurangzeb Khan, Qamoos Gul Khattak, Shahid Ali, Haji Sher Zaman and others termed the assault on Asfandyar Wali an attack on the solidarity of Pakistan and on the democratic system. They said that the ANP would continue to fight against fascism, terrorism and religious extremism.

They said that the party would not give up its struggle to resolve all the political and economic problems through negotiations and peaceful democratic means. The party could not be demoralized by any threats or attacks, the ANP leaders said. They also sacrificed two goats as “sadqa”.

The Hyderabad district chapter of the Awami National Party also condemned the Charsadda suicide attack, adds PPI.

The Hyderabad district chapter of the ANP held an urgent meeting on Thursday evening with Haji Sher Zaman in the chair.

The meeting was attended by Aurangzeb Khan, Qamoos Gul Khattak and others. The meeting condemned the attack on Asfandyar Wali and termed it a cowardly act of religious extremists.

SUP: Sindh United Party chief Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah has also condemned the attack on ANP chief Asfandyar Wali and said that the government should review its policy on the war on terror.
