TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 5: Police have solved the blind murder of a man and arrested his two sons, wife, two daughters and a daughter-in-law who killed him for allegedly developing an affair with his another daughter-in-law in Chak 299-GB around eight months ago.
All the suspects admitted to their crime and, on their disclosure, the police retrieved decomposed body parts of the victim from an abandoned septic tank in their house on Sunday.
Jamal Din had lodged a complaint with the police that his son, Sharif Jat, had gone missing. The police investigated the case and finally took victim’s two sons Irfan and Boota into custody.
During interrogation, both Irfan and Boota admitted that they had killed their father with the help of their mother, two sisters and Irfan’s wife because he had developed an affair with Boota’s wife. The police arrested all of the suspects and retrieved the decayed body parts from the sewer in their house.
INJURED: Robbers shot at and injured a bank officer during a robbery bid on Saturday night.
Anwar Sajid, a National Bank Kamalia Branch officer, was driving his car to his hometown Chak 266-GB when two outlaws intercepted him and later took him on gunpoint.
When Sajid offered resistance, the robbers shot at him and fled.
He was taken to THQ Hospital in critical condition.
CASE: The Kamalia police on Sunday registered a case against two proclaimed offenders (POs) for their alleged involvement in the murder of a landlord.
Mustafa was on his way to his hometown Chak 724-GB when unidentified assailants intercepted his car near Chak 725-GB on Saturday night. They later shot at him, killing him on the spot.
The police were tipped that Babar and Rashid had demanded extortion from the victim on which the police registered a case against the duo POs.
PPP SENATOR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Dr Safdar Abbasi says the party belonged to diehard and devoted workers who had sacrificed their lives and properties for the party, and nobody will be allowed to ignore their say in the party.

He ruled out the impression that he and his wife, Naheed Khan, were being ignored by the party high-command after the assassination of Ms Benazir, and said the party leadership knew better to whom they should assign any task regarding party affairs.
He said he and his wife were ideological party workers and they had nothing to do with government offices.
