KARACHI, Oct 5: The current world and Olympic champions Germany showed their scoring fire power on the final day of the 4-nation Hamburg Masters Hockey Tournament at Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday by trouncing Pakistan 6-1, according to information made available by the Pakistan Hockey Federation.

Forging ahead by 5-0 in the opening session alone, Germany proved too good for the young Pakistan squad. Skipper Shakeel Abbasi could only score his team’s consolation goal towards the end of the second session.

Malaysia finished second, followed by Pakistan who secured the third spot with Belgium coming fourth.—APP
