16 gastro patients serious in Daska

SIALKOT, Oct 6: Emergency has been declared at the Rural Health Center, Satrah, in Daska tehsil where 16 patients suffering from gastroenteritis are reportedly in a critical condition.

Health department officials told reporters that 65 people, most of them children, became victim of gastroenteritis in Dhandal village, Satrah. They said special teams dispatched there were busy checking villagers and finding out any further gastro patient.

When contacted, Sialkot EDO (Health) Dr Syed Talat Iqbal said that health department teams were taking measures to check the spread of gastroenteritis in rural areas of the district. —Correspondent
