Lahore Lions enter semis

LAHORE, Oct 7: Lahore Lions completed the semi-final line-up in the National Twentry20 Cup after defeating Rawalpindi Rams by 21 runs in the last league match at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday night.

Kamran Akmal, the Pakistan wicket-keeper/batsman, scored 49 and leg-spinner Sohail Ahmed grabbed four for 13 to set up the Tuesday’s second semi-final against defending champions Sialkot Stallions.

Kamran slammed five fours and one six in his fine knock as the Lions posted 171-8 in the allotted overs.

The Rams, despite an opening stand of 79 between Umar Amin (50) and Babar Naeem (48), were restricted to 150-7 in response.
