FAISALABAD, Oct 8: The government will give free medicines to tehsil headquarters hospitals for all patients, the city district nazim said here on Wednesday.

So far, the government has released funds to the District Headquarters Hospital and Allied Hospital for provision of free medicines to patients, District Nazim Rana Zahid Touseef told reporters here.

Touseef said earlier free medicines were being given only to emergency ward patients, but now patients in operation theatres, labour rooms, children wards and burn units of these two hospitals would also avail this facility. He said free medicines would be available to all patients soon.

The nazim also asked medical superintendents of both hospitals to improve cleanliness at the health facilities.
