MULTAN, Oct 11: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced its digital subscriber line (DSL) service in various cities of south Punjab and the service will be extended to all cities of the region soon, a top official of the company said here on Saturday.

The DSL service is currently available in Multan, Vehari, Mailsi, Lodhran, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal and Kabirwala, PTCL Regional General Manager Jam Shahid Pervaiz told senior managers at the company’s regional office here.

He said that initially 10,000 DSL connections would be given in Multan region and the number would be increased gradually. He directed the senior manager for operations to provide DSL service to the applicants on priority and fix the faulty lines. He also directed the senior manager for revenue to make sure the distribution of telephone bills on time and take action against defaulters.
