LARKANA, May 9: The district president of the Sindh National Front, Liaqat Abro, has demanded the resignation of the Sindh Governor and his cabinet members for failing to control law and order in the province.

In a statement here, Mr Abro said that innocent French engineers and Pakistanis lost their lives in the terrorist attack but no terrorist was arrested.

He criticized the provincial government for not fighting the case of Sindh and stopping IRSA from announcing the construction of the Thal canal.

Meanwhile, the activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), district Larkana, took out a big rally here against the construction of the greater Thal canal and for the release of Basheer Khan Qureshi and other party workers.

The rallyists marched through various roads of the town and converged at the Jinnah Bagh where the leaders of the Mahaz Gada Hussain Kango, Nazir Hussain Samon and others spoke to them.

The speakers termed the construction of the canal a conspiracy against the people of Sindh and added that it would annihilating the Sindhis.

They also demanded the release of Bashir Qureshi and other party workers.
