KARACHI, Oct 13: Eight ships including four cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where seven ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Valbella, Alyia, Aqua Star to load cement, Olympias, to offload coal, Global Progress, and Arnis to unload and load containers, and Hermione, an oil tanker.

Sailing was active as nine ships, Y.M. Improvement, Eric G. Gibson, Bavaria Express, Deja Bhum, Harissa, Ramalah, Adriatic Arrow, Quetta, and Da Tan departed, while Valbella, Zgen Hua-5, Global Progress, Arnis, Oel Transworld, Hermione, and Mol Ability are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total volume of 0.226m tons comprising 66,398 tons of export cargo, including 18,183 tons of cement, and 0.159m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The ships due on Tuesday are: Lucky Arrow, Pacific Arrow, Sealo-1, to load 11,500, 9,000 and 23,000 tons of cement, respectively, and Shaheen Al-Ghanim-10 to load 26,000 tons of clinkers, Kota Puri, APL Cairo, and APL Shemzhen, with containers.
