MANCHESTER, Oct 15: Pakistan’s Farhan Mehboob and Aamir Atlas Khan crashed out of the second round of the World Open, bringing Pakistan’s interests in the championship to an end.

Unseeded Farhan took 2-1 lead over 15th seed Laurens Jan Anjema of the Netherlands, but after an epic 87-minute battle, Anjema recorded a 9-11, 11-7, 7-11, 15-13, 11-7 triumph over the 19-year-old player.

On the other hand, Aamir was an easy victim for seventh seed Egypt’s Karim Darwish who sent him packing 11-1, 11-7, 13-11 in just 37 minutes.
