KARACHI, Oct 18: A dozen ships including four cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight vessels, Victory-2 and Flag Investors, bulk carriers, Inventive, Conti Harmony and Francisa Schulte to unload and load containers, Karina Dancica to load and unload general cargo and Lalazar to offload crude oil were berthed.

Sailing was also active as seven ships, Karla Omayra, Yin Gui, Alpha, Karina Dancica, Calvin P. Titus, Saigon Express and Sea Bridge departed on Saturday, while Bohai Challenge, Inventive, Conti Harmony Francisca Schulte, Gemrem and Lalazar are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 110,000 tons comprising 35,197 tons of export cargo including 507 tons of rice and 21,000 tons of cement and clinker and 74,350 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Sealo-1, Ashraf-B, Pacific Arrow and Sari to load cement, Kety with steel cargo, Al-Farabi to load 22,500 tons of molasses, Chemroad Rose to load 11,000 tons of ethanol, Quetta with crude oil, Harmony, H.H. Tide, Deja Bhum and Bunga Delima with containers.
