ISLAMABAD, Oct 26: Mohammad Abbas took 10 wickets as Sialkot walloped Rawalpindi by seven wickets in the final of the National Inter-regional U-19 cricket championship at the Diamond Cricket Club ground here on Sunday.

Sialkot achieved the target of 132 runs in 27.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Mohammad Qasim hit 64 not out while Nasir Iqbal scored 37 not out.

Earlier, Rawalpindi were bowled out for 109 in their second innings.

Mohammad Abbas grabbed five wickets for 43 runs.

Openers Hammad Azam (43) and Umair Azam (15) were the only batsmen who showed some resistance against Abbas.

In the first innings, Rawalpindi scored 108 in 34 overs. Abbas claimed five wickets for 33 runs.

Sialkot managed to score just 86 runs in their first innings.

Yasir top scored with 29.

Sialkot lifted the winner’s trophy and pocketed Rs300,000 while the runners-up received Rs150,000.

Mohammad Abbas was named Man-of-the-Match for his 10 wickets for 76 runs.
