Three killed in D.I. Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 29: Three members of a family were killed in what appeared to be a sectarian attack here on Wednesday. The attack by two gunmen was carried out near the Mufti Mehmood Memorial Hospital on Darband Road.

Rizwan Haider and Munair Hussain were killed on the spot while Hussain died in hospital.

They were fishing in a river after attending the hearing in a sectarian attack case in an anti-terrorism court. In the May 25 attack, four members of a family had been killed in Pir Zaki Town and a case was registered against Qari Khalilur Rehman, Abdul Razaq, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Yousaf and Baitullah, all belonging to a banned organisation.

Tension gripped the area after the attack and traders closed their shops for fear of an outbreak of sectarian violence.—Correspondent
