LAHORE, Oct 31: The Punjab government will spare no effort for the relief of Balochi brethren in their hour of need and the process of provision of assistance will continue till their complete rehabilitation.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the people of Punjab fully shared the grief of their calamity-stricken Balochi people and would not leave them unattended. The chief minister was talking to provincial Youth Affairs Minister and Parliamentary Leader of Balochistan PML-N Abdul Khaliq Achakzai here on Friday.
According to a handout, Mr Shahbaz said he had personally visited Quetta, Ziarat and other calamity-hit areas to evaluate the losses and had given a cheque of financial assistance to the Balochistan chief minister.
He said the supply of dry food and other essential items was also continuing speedily.
KOREAN ENVOY: Korean ambassador in Pakistan Shin Un called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed with him trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, bilateral relations and other matters.
The chief minister Korea could extend cooperation in solar energy, infrastructure development, livestock development and construction of small dams as well as other sectors. Mr Shin Un said Korea and Pakistan should promote trade and economic cooperation for overcoming economic problems. He said Korea would consider possibilities of investment in different sectors in Punjab.
