Talent hunt tennis from today

KARACHI, Oct 31: Tennis activities in the city are being revived after a three month layoff when the 18th STA Talent Hunt Sindh ranking tennis championship gets into action at the CDGK Sports Complex, Kashmir Road, on Saturday.

The last tournament held under the aegis of provincial tennis association was STA development series that took place in July.

According to organisers, this is the sixth Sindh ranking tennis competition of the year and has also surpassed the highest figure of five held last year. This is besides hosting national and ITF events. Junior International Nasir Mushtaq and Seher Khwaja have been top seeded in the men’s and ladies singles.

The STA offers no purse in the talent hunt competition and the best performers gets ranking points.

Saturday’s fixtures:

Juniors Under-17 singles at 9.00am; boys’ Under-15 singles at 12.00noon and men’s singles at 3.00pm.
