KARACHI, Nov 1: The Management Committee of the Sindh Athletic Association (SAA) on Saturday announced a 30-member squad including 10 women’s for the third Inter-provincial Youth Games being held at Peshawar from Nov 9.

The athletes were picked after a day long trials held at the PSB Coaching Centre and participated by some 85 sportspersons from across the province.

All the selected athletes have been asked to report to Mohammad Imran or Aslam at the PSB Coaching Centre on Sunday at 5.00pm for a short duration camp.

The Management Committee has been formed by the Athletic Federation of Pakistan (AFP) to run the affairs of SAA until the fresh elections to be held by Dec 31 this year.

Team:

Men’s: Shakil Ahmed, Riaz Khan, Fahad Tariq, Tabish, Hazrat Rehman, Mohammad Rasool, Sahrosh, Mohammad Sajid, Mubashir Hussain and Zeeshan Faiz (all from Karachi), Fida Hussain, Irfan Ahmed, Ghulam Mustafa and Ahmed Khan (all from Nawabshah), Sajid Sohag, Amir Sikander, Sahir Hussain, Mohammad Umair and Mohammad Sharif (all from Larkana) and Mohammad Arshad (Mirpurkhas).

Womsn’s: Razia Khan, Almas Ibrahim, Ayesha Talat and Kiran Yousuf (all from Karachi), Mona Naz, Kanwal Naz, Hima M. Rafiq and Sadaf (all from Hyderabad), Salma Bibi and Mariam (all from Nawabshah).

Officials’ men’s: Wajahat Hussain Makani (manager), Shabbir Chandio (assistant manager) and Mujahid Ali (coach). Women’s: Ms Shabnam (manager) and Qudsia Raja (coach).
