RAWALPINDI, Nov 1: PCB director general Saleem Altaf visited the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday to inspect renovation work in progress.

The venue is expected to host the second Test from Jan 21 to 25 and an ODI on Feb 11 when India visit Pakistan to play three Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 International in January and February.

Saleem observed the main pavilion of the stadium will be ready by Dec 30.

He said the outfield of the ground was not of international standard and they had to work hard to improve it. The chief curator, he said, would submit a detailed report about the ground soon.

The PCB official hoped Pakistan would win the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies in Abu Dhabi.
