THATTA, Nov 3: Wildlife officials intercepted a vehicle near Gujjo town and seized different species of birds from the possession of two poacher cum carriers and arrested them under Wildlife Protection Act 1972 on Sunday.

Sindh Wildlife Conservator Hussain Bux Bhagat told journalists that on a tip-off, a wildlife team intercepted a Karachi-bound vehicle carrying 110 birds hunted from Narrari Lake in Badin district and arrested two carriers, Basharat Ali and Ali Murtaza.

Wildlife authorities said that both the poachers will be challanned after a thorough inquiry and penalised under the relevant law.
