Tour de Pakistan race from 16th

LAHORE, Nov 6: Some 78 cyclists from five countries including hosts Pakistan will feature in the 14th Tour de Pakistan cycle race to start from the Quaid-i-Azam mausoleum in Karachi on Nov 16 to finish at Bab-i-Khyber, Peshawar, on Nov 28.

While providing details of the event on Thursday, Secretary, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) Khwaja Idrees Haider said that Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Afghanistan have all confirmed their participation for the 1,655km race, comprising 11 stages.

All the affiliated units of the federation, including the four provinces, Army, Wapda, Railways and Sui Gas would vie for the top honours. The secretary also announced a total cash prize of $10,000 will be distributed among the top six cyclists.
