WASHINGTON, Nov 7: Here is a tally of partial results in the US presidential election, based on projections by US networks, with one state Missouri still too close to call.

As of today with results given in 49 states and the District of Columbia, Obama had 364 and McCain had 163 of the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House, out of a total of 538.

One state Missouri remained too close to call.

States are apportioned electoral votes according to the size of their population, and in most of the 50 states the winner of a state’s popular vote gets all its electoral ones.
