KARACHI, Nov 8: Four vessels carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships including cement loader Sea Bridge and Clean Sea to unload imported wheat were berthed on Saturday. Others, which got berths included Sima Sehba, Y.M. Inauguration, Harmony to unload and load containers, Fu Ning Hai to offload coal and Capriole to unload chemicals.

Five ships, St. James Park, Gregos, Harmony, Oel Transworld and Hawk departed on Saturday, while Capriole, Hyundai Admiral, Nayab-1, Team al-Emirates, OBS Anita, Pequod, Sima Sehba, Y.M. Inauguration, Johar, Soon Fu and Thuringia Express are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity showed a sizable expansion as the total tonnage handled rose to 0.136 million tons comprising 65,537 tons of export cargo, including 11,508 tons of cement and 2,243 tons of rice and 70,202 tons of import cargo was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday; Loa, H.H. Tide, Gulf Bridge, and Stadt Koin, all with containers.

The following are due on Sunday; Long Fin, with high speed diesel, Bunga Teratai-3, and As Mars, with containers, Sea Albatross, with 53 vehicles, OBS Swathy, to load cement, Atlantic Express, with steel cargo and Great Hope to load 25,000 tons of clinkers.
