Performing arts festival begins today

LAHORE, Nov 12: The sixth World Performing Arts Festival will commence on Thursday (today).

A press briefing was held in this regard at Alhamra Cultural Complex on Wednesday which was jointly addressed by Usman, Faizan and Sadaan Pirzada from Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop.

Addressing the conference, they said the biggest delegation in the festival would be from India. The delegation would consist of over 100 people.

Mr Allana from India would also put on display background sceneries related with theatre. The Netherlands group will organise two workshops in different villages in collaboration with two local institutions.

They said they had sent invitations to the prime minister, the chief minister and the Punjab governor. They could visit the festival any day, but it would be inaugurated by Pirzada brothers’ mother.
