HYDERABAD, Nov 14: Development Director of Hydro Limited, UK, Robert D. Orr, Technical Director Mazhar Abbas Shaikh and Engineer Naseem Aziz called on District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil at his secretariat to discuss scientific disposal of solid waste and its bi-products.

Mr Jamil asked the officials to first inspect the sites where solid waste was dumped and then send in their recommendations which the district government would further discuss with concerned officials and experts.

He hoped the scientific disposal of solid waste will help improve environment and sanitation of the city.

Later the officials of the UK firm visited the old and new cattle colony, vegetable market and sewerage treatment plants to personally take stock of the situation.

They were presented traditional gifts of Sindh by the district nazim.
