QUETTA, Nov 24: Pakistan and Iran have decided to declare Quetta and Zahidan as “twin cities” to strengthen brotherly and cordial relations between the two countries. A formal announcement will be made in Tehran next month.
The decision was taken at a meeting held between Iranian Consul General to Quetta Agha Hassan Mohsini and city nazim Maqbool Ahmed Lehri here on Monday, said an official handout.
The consul general said that Zahidan, bordering town of Iran, had great significance in terms of cultural perspective and trade links with Quetta.
