LAHORE, Nov 27: Anila, Monisha, Sumaira and Dania have qualified for the semi-final of the girls Under-19 event on the first day of the National Junior Badminton Championship at the New Khan Hall here on Thursday.

Anila (Railways) went to full distance against Mehwish Zaman (Sindh) to book a place in the last four. It was also the lone match of Under-19 category, which stretched to three games with the score being 19-21, 21-14, 21-13.

While Monisha (Sindh) toppled Anjum (Punjab) 21-16, 21-17, Dania (Punjab) ousted Tahira Tabbassum (Punjab) 21-14, 21-9 to complete the semifinalists line up.
