NAWABSHAH, Dec 4: The Board of Revenue on Thursday once again renamed District Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto as District Shaheed Benazirabad.

According to a notification issued by additional secretary, Revenue, Board of Revenue Hyderabad on Thursday, the name of District Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has been renamed as District Shaheed Benazir Abad after the modification of an earlier notification with approval of the competent authority.

The name was earlier changed in September from Nawabshah to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto after four out of five MPAs of the district had moved a resolution at the inaugural session of Sindh assembly demanding renaming of the district, which was unanimously approved.

No reason of the modification was cited in the notification issued on Thursday.
