OKARA, Dec 8: There is a shortage of petrol in the city. A small number of filling stations do sell the fuel but at Rs 59.60 per litre, two rupees more than the OGRA-fixed price.
Filling stations which do not sell petrol claim that they are not getting adequate supplies from oil marketing companies while those indulging in overcharging contend that they pay extra on transportation head for being situated away from the oil supply depot.
The district administration on the other hand is in deep slumber over the issue although petrol shortage has become a permanent feature for some time.—Correspondent
