PESHAWAR, May 12: A bomb hoax created panic in the Presentation Convent High School for girls on The Mall on Saturday.

School Bursar Mrs Gorden told Dawn that she received a phone call from an unknown person at about 11:15am telling her about a bomb in class 9th. She informed chief of Capital City Police, Khrushed Alam Khan, who sent a bomb disposal squad.

During the search of all the classes and grounds no explosive material was found, she maintained.

“From his voice the unknown persons seems to be a boy, who was speaking good English,” she said.

“There was panic in the school when the teaching staff and students saw policemen in the school. Luckily it was break time when the bomb disposal squad started combing the school for the bomb,” she said.
