ISLAMABAD, Dec 16: Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has urged India to share available evidences with Pakistan and accept its offer of cooperation in investigations into the Mumbai attacks.

He was talking to Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt who had called on him at the Punjab House here on Tuesday.

According to PML-N sources, Mr Sharif said that Pakistan shared the grief and outrage of India over the Mumbai tragedy. He said that there could be no justification for terrorism and Pakistan itself had been a victim of terrorism for many years and suffered badly on economic and security fronts.

They discussed bilateral matters and regional issues with special reference to Afghanistan and the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Mr Sharif said Pakistan wanted to cooperate with India and Afghanistan for peace and stability in the region.

The Swedish minister congratulated the people of Pakistan on restoration of democracy and appreciated the role of PML-N in strengthening democracy and upholding supremacy of the Constitution, sovereignty of parliament and rule of law.

He said the people and the government of Sweden would continue to support democratic process and rule of law in Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, PML-N leader Ishaq Dar, former ambassador Tariq Fatimi, Swedish minister’s political adviser and the Swedish ambassador.
