KARACHI, Dec 16: Shah Wilayat School and hosts Nasra School main campus (afternoon) annexed the boys and girls titles respectively in the 16th Wazir Ali Memorial Inter-school table tennis tournament inflicting defeats on their opponent’s in the finals played on Tuesday.

Shah Wilayat School got the better of Nasra School Korangi campus 2-0 to grab the honours.

However, Nasra School earned some consolation when their girls did them proud imposing straight victory over Jennings School. This was their fifteenth overall win and seventh in-a-row.

Some 30 schools outfits featured in the annual contest which was launched in 1993.

Mrs. Nasra Wazir Ali, founding trustee of the institution who graced the occasion gave away the prizes. Officials of the Karachi Table Tennis Association (KTTA) Dr. Farhan Essa and Shaukat Omari were also present.

Boys:

Shah Wilayat School bt Nasra School Korangi campus 2-0.

Zain Alam bt Fakhar 11-6, 11-8; Shahrukh bt Fahad 11-2, 11-3.

Girls:

Nasra School main campus (afternoon) bt Jennings School 2-0.
