KARACHI, Dec 19: Five ships including a car carrier and with fertiliser are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Four ships, Sima Yazd, Eric G. Gibson and T.S. Dubai to unload and load containers and Eastern Pride to offload and load general cargo were berthed on Friday after the departure of six.

The departing ships were led by Hyundai Baron, OEL Transworld, Anton Topic, H&H Tide, Sima Yazd and Wan Hai-509, while TS Dubai, Eric G. Gibson, Bunga Bidara and Lalazar are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage handled fell to about 73,000 tons comprising 13,810 tons of export cargo and 59,179 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Lucky-7 to load molasses, Amanat with base oil, Thuringia Express, Martha Russ with containers, Charlotte Bulker with 30,884 tons of urea and Freedom with vehicles.
