QUETTA, Dec 19: Hundreds of people demonstrated in Chaman on Friday in protest against allegations levelled by India against Pakistan over the Mumbai terrorist attacks.

A large number of political workers and tribal elders attended the demonstration. They were carrying placards and raising slogans against the Indian leadership.

Addressing the protesters, tribal elder Naseer Ahmed Bacha criticised the Indian leadership for their statements against Pakistan and said the Indian government was blaming Pakistan for the Mumbai attacks to cover up the truth.

He said that despite Pakistan’s repeated offers for cooperation in the investigation of the attacks, the Indian government was creating tension in the region.

Mr Bacha said that the peole of Pakistan would not tolerate violation of the country’s airspace by Indian planes. “Tribal people will fight along with Pakistan Army if India waged a war on the country,” he said.
