Pakistan ends up eighth

LAHORE, Dec 21: Pakistan finished a poor eighth in the Women’s Junior Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Sunday.

Chinese Taipei beat Pakistan 2-0 in the classification match to earn seventh place.

The winners led the first half 1-0.

In the final, South Korea beat China 2-0 to annex the cup, while India beat Japan 3-1 to claim the bronze medal.

Pakistan had lost 1-0 to Singapore on Saturday.
