ISLAMABAD, Dec 26: The All Pakistan Newspapers Employees Confederation and Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists have demanded implementation of the 7th Wage Award and announcement of the 8th Wage Board.

According to a press release, the two organisations will observe a ‘black day’ on Jan 6 and hold meetings with heads of political parties and parliamentary leaders.

A meeting of the APNEC-PFUJ action committee decided that all the affiliated unions would set up protest camps and hoist black flags on press clubs and media offices on the day.—Reporter
